In the post-war period, oil was a rare commodity on Piedmontese tables. In 1949, Desiderio Rinaldi left his father's farm to trade the products of his region for Ligurian oil, thus founding Olio Desiderio.

Thanks to his dedication and quality selections, he quickly achieved success and was joined by his brothers Franco, Teresio, and Dante, expanding the company beyond Piedmont. Today, with the second and third generations, the company continues home delivery, exporting not only to international restaurants but also to gastronomic centers specializing in Made in Italy products.
